Brazilian Lemonade Recipe (Creamy Limeade)

Description

Brazilian lemonade is a refreshing limeade made with limes, sweetened condensed milk and sugar for a sweet, tart and mildly creamy summer treat!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 cups water (1 1/2 liters)
  • 3/4 cup sugar (150 grams)
  • 4 juicy limes (look for soft and thin exterior)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk (150 grams)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, mix water well with sugar. It takes a couple of minutes until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Prepare the limes: Wash limes, cut off edges and cut into 8.
  3. Add half of the sugar-water and all of the limes to a blender and pulse around 7 times, max 10 seconds in total (this is to avoid bitterness). Stain into a large pitcher. Press the pulp to release all the juices.
  4. Add the rest of the sugar-water and all of the sweetened condensed milk into the blender and blend until combined.
  5. Combine the sweetened condensed milk mixture with the lemonade mixture.
  6. Serve over ice and a slice of lime for garnish.
