Description
This vodka cranberry cocktail is a fresh, sweet, tart and juicy cocktail with a delicious dash of sparkling Champagne and tangerine syrup!

For one cocktail
- 2 ounces cranberry juice (4 tablespoons)
- 1 ounce vodka (2 tablespoons)
- 1/2 ounce tangerine vanilla bean simple syrup, see below (1 tablespoon, to taste)
- Champagne to top, about 2 ounces
- Sugared cranberries and gold dust, for garnish (optional)
Tangerine vanilla bean syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar (100 grams)
- 1/2 cup water (125 mililiters)
- 2 tangerines/clementines - peel of one and juice of two
- 1 vanilla bean, split open with seeds (1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste in a pinch)
Instructions
- For the tangerine vanilla bean syrup: Add all ingredients to a small saucepan. Split open the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds, add both seeds and bean to the saucepan.
- On medium heat, simmer for 10 minutes. Let cool completely. Store in the refrigerator in a clean jar for up to 2 weeks. Makes about 1 cup.
- For the cocktail, pour cranberry syrup, vodka, and tangerine vanilla bean syrup to a serving glass. Stir to combine. Top off with Champagne (or Prosecco or sparkling water).
- Garnish with a sprinkle of edible gold dust and sugared cranberries for a festive look.
